Will this do, can clean it up some or retake a photo. Know you say have the 69’s covered, but this is my 52 year owned “JEWEL”, purchased 1972, my 1st car, secured on my HS graduation evening. May 26, 1972. Thanks.

Great find ssl78. Would love to find mines, but I’m looking for a 69’ El Camino that received my thought of original  L78, lol, we talking back in 1973. If you ever find another, and VIN starts 604, keep me in mind. Thought I found 1 back in the mid 90’s, but very strange suffix to me, at the time, did not know suffix’s that started with a “K” as I was looking for a JH. Sadly I let it go, and now that I’m familiar with anything that starts with a “K”. Wow, learned the “K” codes about 2010, and my car’s original owner telling me what he paid for my SS new, has me desiring it to be 1 of 311. Is this an engine you might consider selling? Thanks.

Alright, as this post is right up my alley, for the same reasons. The number 1 gripe in the whole of my restoration is of course the Master cyl, purchased 1 from a major Camaro Vendor, came to me in El naturale and now is the sore spot for me every time open the hood, for show at car shows, Dag gum it surface rust already. So I’m open to suggestions as to remedy this on the car. To dam old for removal and cleaning. Do got a question, can I use a rust prohibitive as a primer, then good semi black cover coat? Thanks, all here!

Restoration / Re: Introducing the "GILMORE" 1968 Z28

Awesome car, awesome build 169 Indy. Thank you for your devotion to this project and your sharing generously with us all, right here on CRG forum. Got a question for you, back on 5-25-19’ you shared a pic of your 302, very nice, alongside a BB, can you tell me what it is, but for the “396” on the air cleaner and modern looking alloy heads got me fevered with the L89 thing. Thanks, and can hardly wait to see this “Z” finished. God Bless.

General Discussion / Re: 69 Camaro grill repair

Wow, all good pointers for grill repair! Got an OEM grille with cracks and gaps, guess Ineed to go get a pic of mine’s and post it, for suggestions, of possible repair. Also got a OEM Endura bumpers that needs some repair work. Got a repop bumper on my car that is already spider webbing on 1 end, passenger side, not real visible yet, but would for sure catch the eye of a judge if it was ever judged. Thanks CRG folks for the suggestions.

To Jmth52, if you are answering what a L79 is, it is not a L78 with aluminum heads, lol, think that is an L89! Not sure if there was L89’s in 67’ but for sure 68’/69’s. A L79 is high horsepower 327 cubic inch small block. Mostly Nova’s.

Thanks, everyone for responding. Now a dummy question, being an old fart, where can I find a chassis service manual to read up on Section 9 for adjusting, and is this some that can be done by dropping the steering sector at rag joint? Just a thought. Thanks.
