This much I can attest to, there is a guy in Pennsylvania who buys oil filters, strips them, and repaints them correctly for Concours cars-Wix. More expensive, better filters. I already used them on my car.

Is there a product I can put parts in to give them new life before they become hard and crumbly?

Mocked it up…looks good. I have to remove a water pump bolt, which makes sense.

Same here, and I got one today, it measures up to the dimensions in the parts book, and mocks up well. I’ll have to remove a water pump bolt to install-which makes sense of why it’s part of and not called out I suppose. We’ll see.

It appears to be (to the untrained eye) a great piece of work. It’s just a not so great reproduction piece.

Without  dropping the tank, you’ll never know. It could have a spliced in extension.pictures always help. From the blue book. Interestingly enough, the list the 6 cylinder with a different part number.

Sauron, I saw their ad, and their stuff looks good. But I decided a direct hand off to Joe and zero chance for any shipping company to destroy or lose it was worth the time. Gas money is a push as well. Also, I was repeatedly reminded again how much I would never want to live in or near LA.  I’ll post a follow up when I get it back.
