If you have any documents/assembly instructions that you can upload for those hard to find dealer add on, I would appreciate it. I have a few I want to install(picked them up forever ago).
68-Dealer dash mounted tach currently is my project.

Pretty sure there are more now than 1969.

If my needle sits at 3 o’clock, how many ohms is that? Got a new one ready to go. 54 years….stuff just doesn’t last anymore.

It can be done, but having it up high on Jack stands and a person to help remove and feed the new lines is worth whatever pizza and beer they demand. I did it on my 68, it takes patience. Keep us posted.

Empty it, shine a flashlight inside. Got to be mindful with ethanol based fuel.

We need specifics before we can help.
You didn’t mention how old the battery is and if it’s been tested. You can’t properly diagnose a charge system issue with a partially charged or failing battery.
How do you know the regular system isn’t working properly?
What is the reason you suspect this?
Does your car have gauges or a light?
Is the wire from the alternator to the battery in good condition?
We need Specific voltages for the following if we are to help.
Actual battery voltage with the car not running.
Actual voltage with it at idle, 1,000 rpm, 1500 rpm at both the battery, alternator output, voltage regulator.
Are all the parts stock replacement or are there any non standard pieces?
Electrical may not be your thing, but stop throwing parts at it.

Dozens of pictures of everything else. 1 picture of trim tag, 1 of Protect-O-Plate. Pay Jerry Mcneish to verify it if you’re seriously interested.

I just put on the one piece rotor with the single piston caliper version —-1969 version due to to simplicity. Stopping my 6 banger is not much different than a V8.

The easiest thing to do is remove the booster and master cylinder as a unit. Get the proper length brake push rod for the brake pedal to match a new non power disc  master cylinder….since you need to stop. You might be able to loosen and “adjust” the brake lines to help mount the new master cylinder.

Lucky for me, the original owner kept everything….even this order sheet. Interestingly, the car was ordered with Parchment/Black interior and was delivered with standard blue.

I know this post is old, but still helpful. Abiddle, thanks for uploading the pictures of the  instructions, but was wondering if you had copies with a bit more clarity. I also need to fabricate a mount for mine, so any pictures with approximate dimensions would be very helpful.

I know this posting is almost 7 years old, but replying anyway. I picked this up in Carlisle 20 or so years ago with some other dealer and rare things. Thank you so much for the pictures, as they are a tremendous help. Abiddle, it’s there any chance you have a copy or non fuzzy pictures of the assembly instructions? I was going to convert my 68 6 cylinder to tic-toc and gauges, but finding this thread made my decision easy……and a lot cheaper.
