They did a heater core for me. Have heard they do good work on radiators as well.

Just spoke with Joyce Burrell, the "Mirror Lady" in PA.
She retired in August 2021. No longer restoring mirrors. Recommended "Custom Mirror Restoration", also in PA.

Anyone use this source or other sources?

It seems that the "Mirror Lady" in PA (Joyce Burrell) has retired. No longer in business.

Impressive detailing work James!

Couple of questions:

- For the Conv. Top Latch Catch, satin chrome finish. What did you use to achieve this finish?

- For the top of dash, I understand the original finish suede, flat. Is this the same as the under dash heater box finish?
  Any tips on how to achieve this with the suede additive without having it come out too grainy looking?

Your contributions are tremendously helpful to others striving to replicate factory correct appearances.

Restoration / Trunk Spatter - Sound Deadener

I realize there have been multiple topics, posts regarding trunk spatter however, I would like to suggest another thought regarding sound deadener application prior to the spatter paint process.

In researching trunk spatter paint and sound deadener on original, unrestored cars, it seems that the process may have been something like this:

- Sound Deadener was first applied to the inside of the quarter, forward of side marker and below quarter glass, possibly before quarter was welded on?

- Spatter may not have been a single process; Seems that there was a somewhat thick, stringy dark grey/black base applied first followed by the aqua speckle spatter operation.
 
- Possible that a thin coat of the Lord Fusor sound deadener was applied to trunk floor, quarter inner wheel housing (trunk side) prior to the spatter operation?

Appreciate hearing what others have discovered on this topic.

Greatly appreciate the detailed pix and information you've shared.
Regarding the black gloss finish on control arms, I was under the impression that these should have slightly more gloss than the Fender Skirts and Subframe.
What degree of gloss did you paint your Fender Skirts, Subframe?

For '67-69...

Upper Control Arm- Painted with shaft attached? (ball joint installed afterwards)
Lower Control Arm- Painted prior to installing ball joint and bushings?

Dipped in black paint or sprayed?

Since Fisher Body installed & fit Decklid pre-paint, it's likely that those delivered with unpainted shims were flagged during Final Assembly as having fit issues where shims were added (quick fix).
