Originality / Laminate or not?

Would it be okay to laminate the original documentation such as the original window sticker to keep it from falling apart or will that ruin the value?

Originality / Searching for the "story"

I've been active on the list for the last few days (+/-) researching and enjoying the commentary. My car came with documentation which I'm now starting to understand and appreciate the rarity. I have the Protec-o-plate which obviously includes original owners address. I pasted it below if anyone would like to decode 
. I blocked-out the original owner's name because I would not want that published if it were my name. Either way, I searched the web and found credible information that suggests the original owner is alive and well living in the same house he did back in 1969 
.
So, what to do? I wrote him a letter last night and included pictures of the car. I think I would really enjoy that if someone sent me pictures of a an old car I sold back in the younger days. I also asked him if he could share a few stories with me. I'm hoping that I'm not being intrusive, but the "story" would be priceless. I enclosed a self-addressed stamped envelope for him to mail me back anything that would give me a peek of perhaps a small portion of the last 49 years. If anyone is interested in this journey, I'll post updates. The letter was mailed today 21Mar2018. As Tom Petty said, "the waiting is the hardest part"......
(also included a blocked pic of the car as it sits in a storage facility)

Originality / Standard steering wheel for 1969 SS

Didn’t really find this answer in a search, but what did the standard steering wheel look like for a 69 SS and what did the optional wheel look like? Can you determine what wheel came on the car at birth with the original invoice or protect-o-plate?

Mild Modifications / Exhaust Advice Needed

Hello. I'm looking to upgrade my exhaust on the '69 SS I just bought. Looking at the exhaust that is on it now, it looks very nice. However, it doesn't sound very aggressive. I wanted to get some opinions on the exhaust that is installed. Does this look like an expensive system that someone painstakingly built to be as original as possible or is this average and I don't need to feel bad tearing it off and installing something a little more noisy. I tried to attach a picture. Thoughts?

General Discussion / Stand-alone Bluetooth FM radio

We like to hit the drive-in during the summer with the kids. My 69 was only equipped with an AM radio and I would never want to change it - love the originality. I’ve been looking at a few Bluetooth speakers with FM radio built-in. Need the FM radio to get sound at the drive-in. Has anyone sourced an optimal Bluetooth FM radio for the same problem? There are a few on Amazon but I wanted see if anyone found alternate solutions.

Mild Modifications / Adding a non-gauge console?

I have a very original 69 SS that has no console. This is a 4-speed car. I don’t want to add the gauge console because I don’t want to make too many non-reversible changes. However, I would like to add a non-gauge console. Has anyone done this and do you think it was worth the effort or just damages the originality?
