General Discussion / Re: Original dealer info for 1st gens is available

So my report from ncrs states the obvious production date of July 10th of 68. I kinda already knew that due to trim tag with 07B on it.  The car was delivered to Bill Conner Chevrolet Inc. In Muncie Indiana. A member on here sent me paper advertisements from that dealership from 1968 and one of the sales was for the date of August 8th,9th and 10th and listed a green 68 Z for a tad bit over $3000. There was no picture with the ad, just a stock number with no VIN.
Question 1. Does anyone know how long from the July 10 build to delivery?
Question 2. With my car being british green and built 1 month earlier than the ad what's the likelihood of that being my car?
Question 3. How many green Z28 would a dealer order? I wouldnt think I'd have 4 or 5 green ones at one time?? Vs. Red white black etc?

Thanks! The blowout sale ad for August 10th of 1968 has a green Z28 listed for a smidge over 3000. Just so happens my Bill conner Z is an 07B car?  Very very likely that that ad is for my baby?  Ok well it's at least possible that it's my baby?  Wish I could correlate the ads stock number to my vin, that would be definitive Z28 authentication.

Ps mine is british green !

My 68 "maybe" Z/28 has the dual exhaust rivnuts, but the upper location has the bolt/screw head broken off? Its small !   I've tried drilling it carefully with no luck I'm afraid my bit has already got into one side of the threads on the rivnut.   Not sure how to proceed?????  Help I know we should not cuss on here but holy @$×%%#$!×@€£₩&%

Tha is for the replies  and pics. So if you checked that box did the m22 come with the 403 bellhousing and 10 inch clutch and flywheel or the 11 inch set up?

Well that explains that it was an option thank you.  So why would they not stamp the vin like the m21?

Can somebody explain the process of how a 68 camaro would get a m22 from the factory? I was under the impression All 68 Z cars received the m21?  I've run across 2 68 Z28's with supposedly factory M22's both are dated early to mid 68. One is march, the other is June?  Niether One has a partial vin ????

If it means anything or helps the April MO shortblock I'm using has a round / grey tip stick, I can't back it as original to that block as I don't have complete history On it.

Nice car, I'm curious as to the location of the battery hold down? Is that factory or a day 2 relocation?  ;)

If anyone has pics of each rod that would be stupendous.  Are they interchangeable or no?
