It is great, just as it sits,......engine and all. It is very nice that you still have it too. Best of luck with it.

These are the coolest. It amazes me how different things were when I was a kid. Despite the seemingly heavy emphasis on sales and "prospects", I think working at a dealership back then would have been fun. What a contrast to today, where the "sales" folks are essentially nothing more than escorts/order-takers, and act merely as a conduit to the sales manager.

I just love the announcer's over-emphasis on the "ASTRO- Ventillation system"....lol.
The 60's just rocked.......The Wonder Years for me for sure. Thanks for providing these videos, they are fascinating from a Chevy-enthusiasts point of view, as well as an interesting peek back into the socio-norms of the times. Way cool.

Will do, thanks. Likely then this car just originally had a standard gauge package. The gauges sure look cool, and all of them work.
I finally got around to locating the pink buzzer-relay wire......disconnected! Gosh, that is one ugly sound....LOL

Weeeeeeeaeaaaaaaaaaaaaeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaahhhh......

Next, putting in the new package tray I have. Old one is warped. Feel free to give me any pointers, though I think I remember how the back seats come out. Thx

Kurt,
To clarify, it does have the "Tic-Toc-Tach". So, I am guessing, the U17 package?

Kurt,
Do tell! Y aknow,....I didn't think to ask. Could the 327 coupe come with the U17 package, and/or the console gauges? The tach/clock looked original to me. What is up w/ the door panels? I want to learn all I can. Not nearly as adept on the first Gens. 2nd Gens - I know quite a bit. I lived in that world for some time, did quite a bit of restoring/research. I have been reading up here as much as possible.
Thanks  :)

Danny,
I have an almost new set of the "Firestone Wide Oval 60's", (which are equivalnet to: 235/60/15) I would consider selling at a fair price.
Not sure where you are though......(I am in Northern VA) but just throwing it out there. They look awesome on these cars, IMO.....perhaps better than any OEM tire.

Thanks all. :)
Bullit, just one, of the engine bay prior to re-build. It was super clean! I mean like crazy clean for an original car. She obviously took very good care of it. I wish I had more pics, but that is the only one.

Hi all,
Long time Camaro owner, several generations (1,2,3,4 & 5th), on Camaro #7, and this is my FIRST 1st Gen! I traded my 72 Z28, and some $$. Very happy with the deal. I am older than my friend (the guy I traded with) (51), so this car is more my gen, and my Z was his gen. I think we both knew from day one, eventually, we would swap cars!

It is a 68 327 (SS Tribute). The car was owned by one lady in GA, from 1968 -2006. My buddy bought on in 2006, had the 327 gone through and brought up the power with some nice mods as well. The TH350 was also added then. The drivetrain only has a few thousand on it, car has 72K. It is a numbers matching engine, and all else, sans the TH350, 4-wheel disc added last year. I have the orig title, o-manual, build-broadcast sheet, and protect-o-plate still in warranty book. Coming from a 4 speed (M-21) I thought I might not like having the TH350, but not the case, I love it. I look forward to learning a lot here, hopefully make a few friends along the way.
I live in NOVA, Potomac Falls, work in DC. Let know if you are near me!

here's my new Baby...
