My original pump is in a box on a shelf in my Camaro's garage. That is where it is going to stay. Leaking fuel leaking fuel is something I don't even want to think about on my car.

Everyone here is nice. That has been my experience and I read postings on this site daily and always look forward to it.
Talking about Camaro's (or anything else) is always learning experience. No one knows everything; but as a community of owners; the novices
learn from the more experienced. There is always something new to learn.
I'm old enough to remember when learning meant a purchase of books; or a trip to the library and research. It is such a gift
to have the internet and be able to talk with others and share knowledge, photo's and experiences instantly.

That price is just crazy; seriously it is. My car has one; original (I think) it was on there when the car was bought when I was 18. It was all bent and
needed straightened. Never has it crossed my mind that someone would expect a price like that for one!

That is rough news for you to hear. Our prayers are with you. Keep your spirits up.
My beloved wife Kimberly is a cancer survivor of over 13 years. It was pretty rough for her in the winter of 2000; surgery, chemo, radiation. Thank God she recovered and is cancer free. There is not a day that goes by that I do not thank God.

I feel sick for the guy too! It looked line a fine car before the accident. It reminds my of my sister coming home crying when I was in my early 20's
"I've wrecked my 72 Nova, it's bad" She wasn't hurt thank God, so we got in my car and drove into town. (The Nova had been driven to her friend's house) I still recall coming down the street and thinking..............."what's wrong with that car?" Long story short,she had lost control on a gravel road, hopped a ditch into a field, made a big U turn in some farmer's corn field and driven back to town. The front frame was bent upwards so badly on the driver's side, the driver's side tire was barely touching the ground! Dad and I stripped it down (all the damage was cowl forward) new front frame, fenders, hood, grill, etc, painted the whole car and all aligned properly, and drove great.
This car definitely is a hard fix. I'm hoping its rebuilt. It is hard to see a 69 bent. Jim

Shoveling our sidewalks and cleaning our streets again this morning. Thank God we didn't get the 9 inches of snow the weather forecast was predicting.
4 inches is plenty. In all honesty though; I can't complain, we haven't had much snow this winter, it has been pretty good so far.
Just counting the days until the arrival of spring rains, to wash the snow melt off of our streets, and.............our first drives in the Camaro's of 2014.

Originality / Re: trim ring fit to rim

My 69 (08C) had all 4 wheels with the outer clip trim rings when I bought the car. I purchased 4 new rings for it around 1975 or 76 from our local dealer; because a few were scratched or dented, and the new trim rings were the 4 inner serrated clip style. (We still have the original trim rings packed away with our spare parts) The new style is a real pain to remove without damaging the ring.
When we bought my wife's 69; it had replacement rally wheels(we found the original wheel covers in the trunk) , and all of the trim rings were the new style.
This sure is an interesting thread to follow. Jim & Kimberly
