Paint looks fantastic. And that is a creative way of making the car mobile while not installing the drivetrain first!

Jon I remember you being a Norther CA guy, what's Thunderhill like as far as spectator vantage points. Is it a nice place to hang out?
I watched a friend at Buttonwillow one time in 2012 and liked it, and it's close to me.

Speaking of Todco, have you heard from Ken lately? I hope he's doing well.

Man that is a great shot of a great looking car. Kinda reminds me of the Todco 1969 Camaro that was also painted blue, with red wheels and a number 7. Odd right?

Other than HTA, there are other vintage racing organizations that are recognized by SCCA and which may hosts races within SCCA programs...

The following organizations’ licenses are currently approved by SCCA for competition in Vintage/Historic
events:
1. Classic Sports Racing Group (CSRG)
2. Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR)
3. Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts (SOVREN)
4. Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA)
5. Vintage Auto Racing Association (VARA)
6. Vintage Motorsports Council (VMC) and VMC member organizations
7. Vintage Driver’s Club of America (VDCA)

Maybe HTA is more a west coast organization?   I saw vintage TA type racing at Road Atlanta a few years ago and the sponsoring vintage organization wasn't HTA, but I don't recall which one it was...?  Maybe someone more versed in these organizations / events can give us a tutorial?  :)

Do you know if any of these organizations exist here out west as well? I would be interested in going to some of these more lower profile events. The Monterey and Sonoma events are not just the most interesting or well organized but also a little far away from me, and they kinda price me out once you factor in staying for a few days and that every interesting event costs extra(quite a bit sometimes).

Probably the biggest and the baddest, Monterey.

Did you just stumble upon this in the wild, or were you huntin this down? I'm just curious.

Great to have you back, Mike.  I understand your issues with Photobucket.  I paid the $400 just to keep the pics alive here but I'm very relieved that they got wise to that lunacy and made the cost more manageable.
Might they offer a refund for your, Jon?

Nick,
Seems more like stupid people TALKED about it but did not support it, Why blame the state, Most of the other states hosts NOTHING.
Never ending weak little jabs at the GREATEST state in the Union, Sad.

  Victor
I am really simply jabbing at San Diego and the CA coastal areas just being so darn expensive as a whole(it would be cheaper to have that meet somewhere not as nice, for example; they just picked a very expensive part of CA to host it). My cousin has lived in San Diego for almost 20 years and tells me about how "cheap" coronado is, I can't imagine how expensive it must be for all of the logistics. But I understand what you mean and really love this state, have no plans on moving.

Excellent  I thank yo for the Link, I need to get with it and get down there the version at Coronado would be fun also?
I have family in San Diego and have wondered the same thing for quite some time. One time I missed it by one week by coincidence. I bet it would be fun since I wouldn't have to find a place to stay.

EDIT: DARNIT! Look at this!!!

Stupid expensive CA makes it impossible.
