Did original 1969 disc brake dust shields and caliper brackets have part numbers stamped in them?  I purchased a original disc brake setup and it has no part numbers stamped in either the dust shields or caliper brackets.  I've seen caliper brackets and dust shields with part numbers stamped in them.  The julian date is 304 on the calipers so it's a late 1969 date.

Thanks for the information. This clears up a question I have had for a long time on how the Corvette bracket fit on a 12 bolt axle.  Another question.  Did the straight tube over the counter axle have the large Impala type bearings and larger axle at the bearing surface?  Thank You.  Brent

The flange plates look like they fit the large housing ends,  3.65 x 2.625 bolt holes verses the 3.125 x 2.687 x 2.437 housing ends found on regular 12-bolt rear ends.  Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you Byron. I appreciate all those who made this report possible.  As many of you know there was not much information on the COPO rear end till now. Good work!

Originality / Yenko trim tag question
« on: December 30, 2019, 12:16:51 AM »
Were the X44 and X11 Yenko Camaros trim tags coded X44D80 and X11D80 since they all were ordered with spoilers?  I looked on the internet and was only able to find one tag on a Yenko Camaro and it was coded X11D80.  Thanks, Brent

Firebird has a verticle crease in the middle of the pleats.  Looks like 1969 Camaro to me.

Kurt is a great guy.  I sent him some information on my car and he did get back to me. I can't imagine the emails he gets.  Data collection takes a long time when your dependent on members to send you their data and you have to verify, compile and publish. Send Kurt your data ad you'll be ahead of the game if they do a research on that subject.  Yes, all Camaros are special.  One of mine came with a 3 speed floor shift.  Unfortunately I disinigrated it in 1979. Thank you for the great pics.  There is a unbelievable amount of metal work in that car. The new owner did a great job!

I googled this but haven't seen any updates.  Anyone have any news on how the restoration is coming on this Camaro?

I noticed some writing by by the radiator cap.  Looks like 27-69.  It's hard to believe this car isn't in a GM museum with all the press it got at the time.  When I 1st saw the photo of it in Michael Lamm's book "The Great Camaro" I was floored by it.

In the Milford picture is the radiator not a curved neck?  Also I noticed the "B" paint stamp on the firewall.  Does this mean it was painted at the Fisher plant?
