Hello all…..I’m starting to reassemble the doors on my ‘67 and the Fisher Body manual talks about all of the different lubrication points for the window regulators, door hinges, etc…. The book refers to “Lubriplate” and “Dripless oil”…….a quick google search turned some rusty cans of original stuff available on eBay but that was about it.
1. Does anyone know where to get a modern part that has superseded
2. What does everyone use on these points if they aren’t using the factory stuff?

So the Guldstrand car appears to have a large one made out of ALUMINUM….I stand corrected as I have seen this style in pics as well.

I am BY NO MEANS an expert but it looks like the top tier teams all had some sort of fabricated deal like that by 1969……but 1967 & 68 (and probably 66 too ) didn’t look to be the case.
Those years it looked like the majority were using one by a company called Enots out of Birmingham, England. I believe the style was called the “Aston”…..you would find them on motorcycles, Cobras, boats (my background), indy cars of the day…..all types of stuff. They came in different diameters and they were actually chrome plated brass. There are knock off repos in Aluminum but the real deal ones are brass.
I think the Johnny Moore car has one on the side right Jon?

Don’t know if this is allowed here or not but I didn’t know who else might want ‘em.
I am going to ARP hardware on my DZ motor and I have the original main cap bolts with the factory windage tray mount extensions. Don’t know how rare they are or anything. If anyone wants them shoot me an address and I’ll send em your way.

Ok then.
I know everything is getting more expensive all the time…but I thought this was a bit much. Sounds like you guys are on the same page.
…..& that’s before we start looking at the validity of the sellers claims. Thanks Jaybee….hopefully the price alone scares everyone away and no one gets taken.

What is the rough value of one of these blocks? This seems a bit much ($10K) for what you get.
Obviously if you need it then it is whatever you are willing to pay……..just curious if anyone knows what price they actually change hands at?

Tons of pictures ....(most of which I’ve never seen before) and an outstanding write up so far...

Not from the factory no....from what I understand it became available as an over the counter/ parts department item mid year....
-and that makes sense regarding the cut outs/recesses in the inner deck lid structure as well. Just thought I had read that they were relocated instead of removed but sounds like that may not be the case....

Originality / 1967 rear deck lid emblem

Hi all
I’m wondering if someone can point me in the right direction regarding the rear deck lid emblem on my 67 z28 “clone” (I hate calling it that because it sounds shady but that’s what it is)
I am doing a vintage road racer and it is currently in the shop for paint. Well in my mind if someone back then was going to compete they would have started with a z28 right? So I am trying to faithfully copy the original stripe details. The shop is taping the stripe around the emblems as original on 67 cars......I’m fine on the header emblem, but I have added a rear wing so I’m not quite sure about the rear deck lid.
I know wings were a dealer add on in 1967 and I’ve read that the emblem was moved or sometimes discarded entirely when this was done. Does anyone have an idea of where this was moved to if it was kept? Was that just the installers choice at the time? .....I’m not married to the idea of keeping the emblem but if it’s going to be used I want it in the right location if possible

These came from the other thread.....so how did the “tall” spoiler come to be? Just a custom piece to do a job or was it something being manufactured at the time?
