With reference to post #133: This could very well be the the car that ended up at Todco since it has a 1967 photo date and the front clip had a 1967 grill. I sure wish I could take a step back in time.

What a beauty. Quality fabrication in a well fitted and welded rollcage and also a really nice switch panel. Not sure that I see sub frame connected to rollcage in engine bay though, except maybe behind suspension. Does the heart good to see these cars brought back to life and raced as God intended.

With reference to post #211, this car was the 2nd car built for the 1969 season and driven by Craig Fisher through to end of 1969 season. It was born as a silver Z-28 and painted this beautiful color sometime before the 1969 west coast races. It was not re skinned but sold and raced by Don Duncan as a Camaro the following year. Don sold it to a street racer some time around 1971-72 and it has disappeared. This was my favorite Todco car.
The 1970 Firebird race car  was going to be re skinned as a Z-28 but as John McConnell owned the car and not John Todds, McConnell decided to give, or sell, the car to Tiny Lund and it was never seen again.

So sad to hear this news, Craig was a salt of the earth person who almost almost always had a smile on his face. I feel very fortunate to have known him, even for a brief period.    R.I.P. Craig
I remember seeing the  777 Catalina wining at St Jovite in about 1965 while I was still a teen.

Hi Vince, yes it is, with John Todds talking to a long time friend of his and Derek. This car is same one that was white at Sebring and usually had #93 on it.
Post #83 is the car that Craig drove in 1969 and my personal favorite Todco racecar. It started life painted silver-grey as a true Z-28 and I wish it would turn up somewhere so it could be restored.

Beautiful car Jon, congratulations on completing the restoration of an important piece of history. You make us all proud.

HA-HA I love it. I don't think it's genetic, the probable answer is that he has the same taste in eyewear as Craig Fisher and I, but I am still waiting for a definitive answer from my mom.

Great photo Dwight, and not one I remember ever having seen before. A lot of late nights and all nighters to build and prepare the car.  Those were great times when we started to gel as a team.
And "DUCHESNE",  that rings a bell, I am pretty sure he was the used car dealer where JT acquired the Camaro.

The top of the roll bar is in same forward position but the legs of the Todco roll bars are straight and welded to floor close to side of car. The whole Todco roll bar leans forward and has only two bends in it.

With reference to reply  # 63-65 : I believe that the color on #7 was the same paint formula as my street Camaro (dark metallic blue) but without the metal flake in it causing it to have a purplish hue. Someone please correct me if I am wrong about that. The rollcage, grill, and wheels were all done on the road between races with rattle can red. This car was the 2nd car Todco built in 1969 and driven by Craig Fisher.

They might have had close fitting sheet metal covers for conditions like rain, or maybe some duct tape.

I had 15"x7" American Torq-Thrust wheels on my street car with E and G Goodyears. I think "American" still makes  some of the best looking wheels today. Rich simplicity.

How about if I were to say I think Minilite is "2nd best" looking TransAm wheel?

I managed to save one of the 200-S wheels off of Craig Fishers car. John Todds kept the cracked wheels because they just look so good. Minilite wheels are stronger than 200-S but not as attractive in my opinion.
