Restoration / Re: '68 lower control arm won't fit in subframe

From what I can see from the pictures is that both bushings are pointing same way. If they are both installed from the outside going in they will fit with no binding. Thanks, Scoop

General Discussion / Re: Frederick Nationals ...

I too had a great time at the Nationals. It was great seeing you all this year. I have attended the Nationals for the last four years and this year I brought my Car. The last three years I watched and learned from the judges and participants as to the correctness of the cars.  Using what I learned I achieved a score of 1000 for the Bow Tie Class this year. I thank all the judges and participants for all the knowledge they shared with me. I have met so many great people and have gained life long friends. On Sunday I spent time at Jerry MacNeish's shop where he went over my car. What a great guy! He even gave me a fast ride in his all original white 68 Z with 411 gears.  Thanks to all.  Scoop

Chick    I cannot make it out from the pictures but is the inside ridges of the door hands still detailed fine grooves like originally? Also how are you going to rivet your knobs back on?  Thanks, Scoop

I just finished installing my windshield and back glass with Jeffs kit. It worked great and looks great. I would highly recommend it!  Thanks, Scoop

I am looking for pictures of an original glove box for my 68 Camaro without AC. I do not have the original any more and the repos I purchased are of two different shapes. One has a flat bottom and then slopes to the upper end by the top of the door and the other one has about a one inch raise at the rear before it slopes to the top by the door. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks, Scoop

Restoration / Re: Pilkington Classics glass thickness and quality ???
« on: January 05, 2014, 01:16:54 AM »
The DOT number is in a spot that is not visible when installed in the car. On the quarter windows and door windows it is on  lower end which is not visible, and the windshield and back glass it is on the lower edge and is covered by the sealant. You can only find the dot numbers if you remove the glass.  Thanks, Scoop

I like you have purchased about every brand out there for my 1968 Camaro to find out they are junk. I did purchase a set like you posted from D & R Classics and they fit  and look as close to the originals as any I have ever seen. I would recommend them.  Scoop
