I thought all rubber tires have date codes on them. You should be able to tell at least the year

General Discussion / Re: Restore or scrap?

I always thought that cars with salvage titles were worth less (even when fully restored correctly) because lenders won’t lend money on them....although I am not sure how that works in the collector car world. Does anybody know?

My only thought would be that if it has a salvage title ....(which it should) the value is greatly diminished. The cost of doing a correct restoration could be double the value of the would restorer cut corners?

Originality / Re: Trim Tag

That looks like wet moisture that is dripping around trim tag to me, not black paint.
Anybody else see it that way?

I believe the Seat bottoms are different (shorter in length) can use a standard convertible seat bottom.

I have had several Camaro’s and currently own 2 at this moment.
I have owned one of them for 30 years....Bill gates does not have enough money to buy it from me!

My daughter wants that one some day!  My son wants the corvette it’s an automatic, he doesn’t like sticks!
I noticed lots of the younger generation doesn’t like to row gears.....I often wonder how that will affect values of some cars in the future?
however my daughter is younger then my son.....and she has also gotten in more trouble!

Just curious is to why the trim tag on Norwood 707 cars has Y for yellow interior paint for metal trim on the upper right corner of tag?

General Discussion / Re: International Camaro Club

I also was a member of several Camaro clubs in my early twenties and also kept all the magazines....always looked forward to the next issue of the next icc, Camaro corral, and camaro enthusiasts.
That being said I have enjoyed and learned more from CRG then all clubs combined.

General Discussion / Re: Pace car registry
« on: October 30, 2020, 07:06:07 PM »
I always thought registry’s are a good way to keep tract of real cars and there history.

I would think that the longer that any certain one is around you would have less new interest because there are less new found cars to register.

I for one like to look at registry’s to see how many survived of a certain model.

I also do not have that part on my 67 top.
