Clearly a fake Z/28.  It is very nice though, but not for $59K!  Worth about $15 or less with that fake tag.

Yep, you are right.  I missed the VIN in the description.  I used a mirror to decode the numbers.

I finally peeled back the grease from my original trans and saw big numbers painted on the bell housing.  The were painted black and were the following:

33


The partial VIN matches my car (which I finally found - thanks to CRG), but those paint "marks" took me for a surprise.  

Your input is much appreciated.
