So nice.  Thanks for sharing!!

The important thing to realize is we have kept a record of every car we missed and it is flagged as missed so if we do uncover a group of numbers we will recheck the missed cars against them and notify anyone that it affects.

This is fantastic news...so glad to hear this, as I'm missing.  Thanks Roy.

Close, but no cigar...  I fall 962 outside the top range at 588237, Late January, and got the bad news this morning about a refund.  So add another Camaro to the upper end of this.  "  1969 Camaro 9N508855 to 9N587275  "   Man I'm bummed.  Just when you think you're safe. :)

Great pics from 1969.  I do have a question on why your Z/28 has a black grill.  The reason I ask is that I also have a black grill.  I haven't figured out if mine was replaced at some point, but old pics of mine back to 87 show a black grill.  I just figured the silver one was replaced at some point.  Your pics are from 1969 and show a black grill.... did dealers install different color grills in some cases??   Puzzling.

Absolutely stunning sound.  Glad he actually drives it..and pretty hard.  Great link. Thanks!
To compare with Z/28 Camaro sound, here's some T/A Camaros leaving the pits.

How about an ocean-going Camaro?
And a 69 SS with a 1912 Caddie?

Nice pics.  Can you imagine, you could have been 12 years old and riding around with your pops in a brand new 1912 Caddie, then when you turned 69, you could have bought a brand new rip snort'n Camaro.  What a monumental leap in tech from one to the other.  Frankly I don't think we are so far from the 69 technology today unless you talk about silly electric cars like the Tesla or something.  ...which leave me cold.  Anyway, that picture really makes you think.

What's not to like, cool place to cruise and car looks great! When we would cruise at a drive-in, BITD, We would back into the spot to show off our ride and, I'll add, be ready for a match race out front of the Big Boy on the long straight 2 lane. Sigh! Those were the days. ;)

Yeah,  you also backed in, so you could watch the circling cars, not only to spot 'new or hot cars', but also to spot 'hot' ladies.. :)
(as did I).. :)

Absolutely Gar!!!  and I ended up "catching" one of those "hotties" and marrying her!!!! ending my cruising days. Best thing that ever happened, plus she let me keep my car(s)...what a catch.  I'll add, she had a "feature" that reminded me of the front of an old Caddy?!

She had braces?   ....oh, nevermind.  :)

Nice!   Take away the ugly trucks and it could be 1967 all over again.

Ol' Blue is just the kind of car I would avoid while cruising nights in my Mustang back in the 70s.  I didn't like losing.  :)   Mean looking.

That's a lot of flowers Jon.  Nice pic.  I love the 'reflections' pic.  Good eye on that one.  Anybody else snap a single cool shot Friday or this weekend?

Maintenance / Steering wheel loose?
« on: April 18, 2014, 07:22:06 PM »
I knew my wheel was a bit loose feeling and if you grabbed the top edge and pulled toward you, it would have some flex.
Little did I know it would result in this kind of failure.  The entire plate just ripped.  So, this is a public service announcement to check this if you have any play at all.
Luckily I was just in a tight parking spot and not in traffic.  I don't think during normal driving that much torque is placed on the mounting plate.
I didn't know I was such a he-man.  Time to get that new wheel I wanted.  :)

p.s. Vicegrips are your friend

Guess what day it is?  Well we made it through another grueling week.  Time for a Friday photo.
I expect some others to chime in today with their photos.

This is my baby in the Texas Blue Bonnets.  If you don't know the tradition, this is the time of year when parents all over the state of Texas plop their babies down into these sticky weeds that just happen to be the state flower and take lots of pictures.  These are then sent to grandparents everywhere.  :)  Babies usually don't care much for the itchy experience, but Camaros don't mind.

Damn if that isn't a perfect shot of how classic the lines are of 1st Gens.  Well done. The horses are cool too.
