Because he posted on facebook....
Yep, He sure did. I just thought there might be something from the tag that I didn't understand.

Here's a link to a new Photo Bucket fix I've been using for a couple of weeks now.
This is for Chrome browser. I don't know if it's available for others.

Clearly not the tag for his car, since his is a L78 coupe.
This is for a ragtop with 712 interior, has tint, power black top. I don't understand why they list those options on the tag.
Seems like they sometimes ignored the tag and installed it in car that called for the same interior.
Kurt, How do you know his is an L78 coupe? Could convertibles not have a fold down rear seat? I'm not familiar enough with 69's.

Decoding/Numbers / Upholstery tag ?
« on: November 20, 2019, 11:41:53 PM »
Posting for a guy that found this tag in the rear seat of a 69. Car has the fold down seat and custom interior. The 712 on the tag tells me it denotes black custom covers but I'm only guessing. Can anybody decode the tag and is it rare to find it?

Originality / 1967 frame horns
« on: June 12, 2013, 12:58:54 AM »
I'm not sure this is noteworthy but I was reading about 67' frame horns having some changes so I took a look at my coupe. Mine has the large inside hole plus 2 slots and a smaller hole on the outside but only 2 holes on the top. It is a first week of July build. This may be common but I didn't see it mentioned in the topic data. Here's a pic.

Originality / Re: 67' without console automatic floor shift ?

That is correct Everett. Spoiler option was not available from the factory in 67'. That did seem to become a popular owner add on.
The pics of the car linked do look very nice. I just questioned the "All Original" statement when the floor shift sticks out like a sore
thumb to me.

Phillip, I've been contemplating posting a link to the add. I have no intention of bashing the seller as it is possible they are not aware of
the car not being original or have a different interpretation of "originality". You asked so here's the link.

Just another example of what some people will try to pass off as original. I have not seen the car in person and don't plan to.
Hope no one gets burnt as a buyer believing the car is truly original.

Here's an interior pic of a 67' being advertised as "All Original". This is why I asked the question.

Thanks Ed. I didn't think it was available in 67'. I came across one for sale boasting ALL ORIGINAL that does not have a console and looks
like it was done nicely anyway. When a seller says ALL ORIGINAL that's exactly what I expect. The paint is way to nice also to be original.

Originality / 67' without console automatic floor shift ?

Was a floor shift, automatic transmission, available without a console in 67 ? I've searched this site and also through the AIM and can't find
the answer. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

I am the 3rd owner of a 67' coupe. All original except it has multi leaf rear springs.
Plain Jane 327-2bbl with 3spd. column shift, white with red standard interior.
I purchased the car locally in Iowa about 8 years ago and I am currently in the process of rebuilding it.
