Got a letter and 2x pictures sent to me from the 90y/o lady that used to own this car(see attached)
She tells me i am the second owner and gave me the name and phone number of the 2nd owner, cant wait to call him up in the morning and talk to him too.

I have actually found the original owners although the husband passed away only last Easter Sunday. I just started ringing people with the same names in the same area and i got them first up. how about that......!

She is going to write down anything she can remember of interest and look for any old pics of the car when it was new, how luck is that. It's a shame i didn't do this a few months ago and i could have then spoken to both of them...

Thanks all for your input so far, i think i have tracked down a phone number for the original owners i will try to give them a call and find out, they may even have a picture or 2, now that would be good.

I also have had a reply from  Chevrolet Customer relations centre and they advised i contact General Motors Heritage Center. i will also try them.

I have the info of the previous owner and  he was living in North Augusta SC , not really sure where it is at but i will figure it out. Cant find any info/leads on him

I have also heard back from Parsons Buick Plainville, CT, they used to own The Parsons Chevrolet Co and sold the dealership in the mid 70's to Winsted Ford, and am still waiting to hear if they may have old records as Parsons didnt.

Gotta say i have had some good leads so far hope they keep coming.

No "rattle" when its in park and you stick the foot down, it sounds very clean. It only seems to do it when im driving under load\accelerating hard. I thought a baffle at first but if it is a baffle wouldnt it do it in park as well..?
As it only does it when moving i cant pick exactly where its coming from, its somwhere in the front half and thats about as good as i can get without a little stunt driving....  ;D

Hi all, i have not had allot of experience yet with camaro's and hope someone could point me in the right direction? Now i have a stock 69 convertible with the original 327 with 2bb. the engine runs fine and sounds fine when stationary, however when driving and i plant the foot and load up the engine there is a distinctive "rattle" sound, at first i thought it was a loose baffle in the muffler, but now im not sure. The sound only appears when there is a good load on the engine.

i know its very hard to diagnose over the net but any thoughts?

There is allot of news articles around today in Australia, that GM are considering doing some retooling and put out a Right hand drive version, they say they would only need to sell 4000 to make it worth there while.. I hope we get them Down under...

Sounds like Chev is keen to push into Asia as well with them..

Its barley legible but it appears to be correct....! yipee

Thanks guys for you help, i kept panicking but you kept steering in the right direction, thank you thank you...!

Im sure ill be back with another question soon enough.

Oh BTW i tried to use the CRG decoder it worked, but it wouldnt create an output file so i could email it to you, im running vista prem, any issues with it?

i bought it from gateway classic cars in march 08, if it is down by the oil filter will the pad be cast rough or machined flat like the pad by the alternator?

Here you go, also got a shot of the POP, it does have the same engine code on it..

The pad on the engine was painted over, i have carefully scraped the paint off the gave it a light sand with fine sand paper and nothing there...
