FlowJoe:  Go to the link in my above post and do a vehicle search for the f-body camaros and check out the 4 link, air ride. Man that looks simple to install and has to improve the wheel hop & overall ride.  Wonder if anyone here has made that upgrade?

General Discussion / Ralley Wheel Question.
« on: March 16, 2007, 05:05:14 AM »
I am looking to replace the wheels on my 67 Camaro with a set of 15 inch Ralley wheels. My thoughts were to get a pair of 15 x 7's for the front and a pair of 15 x 8's for the rear.  Will the 8 inch wide Vette wheel fit on the back without hitting?  Opinions?  Thanks

This air ride 4 link is a slick looking system.  Wonder if it would hold up to hard driving?

Thanks.  I have found several 1st gen. stores that sell a 5 leaf conversion kit but I was unsure about the pads on the rear housing etc.  Thanks for the reply though.

Flowjoe:  let me know what you run into with your conversion.  thanks

Thanks for the replys. I actually put the 6 piece RS trim on it about 20 years ago. I just like the looks of the RS trim & front end. I have several cars and I seem to get sidetracked allot on different projects so this one is a long time desire Im starting to put some $$ & time towards. I have a few things left to do to my Corvette and then the Camaro is getting a face lift.. I have had the car for 22 years and plan to pass it down to my son when Im gone so I not trying to pass off the car as an RS to anyone I just want it the way I want it.  You know?

Thanks for the reply. From what I can tell the lower valance will need to be replaced with one that has parking / turn signal lights & of course the grill & headlight assemblies. I dont think the fenders are different?   Looks like about a $1500.00 upgrade so far..

Anyone ever convert a standard 67 front grill to a RS style with the Hide-a-way headlights?  I have always like the looks of the RS front and I was thinking about making that change to my 67.  Any thoughts?

Greetings!  This is my 1st post here, Im 40 years old and still have my 1st car I bought when I was 17, a 1967 camaro 327 275HP 4 spd. car.  I bought the car in 1984 and it has remained fairly stock with the exception of some power improvements, cam, carb, ignitions, intake, etc.  The car has mono leaf rear springs has broken 4 different leaf springs where they meet the rear shackle.  My question is have any of you ever upgraded to a multi leaf system like the 68's & 69's had?  How much trouble is this? I know I will have to replace the mounting pads on the rear with the deaper ones for the multi leaf but what else am I in store for here?  I have seen a few conversion kits but if some one has a link to a kit they used /recomend that would be nice as well.. Thanks in advance for your time..
