Thanks for the reply. I guess what I want is take the wiper motor off the firewall and test it. And by process of elimination find the  >:( problem.
I understand the stand alone pin is 12 V + and the other 2 work ( light blue and dark blue ) work by earthing. I dont wont risk the motor without prior knowledge though  :-\
New 69 wiper motors are not exactly thick on the ground in Australia  ::)

Maintenance / wiper cct diagram
« on: June 01, 2007, 12:30:41 AM »
Can any one post a circiut diagram or instructions to bench test a 69 Wiper motor ? I have the "in car" test diagram ang "no go". Now would like to test isolated from the dash switch and car.
I want to prove the thing works by itself  :-\ and prove the problem is then the wiring in the car. Have already replaced the dash switch
Driving me mad trying to get the wipers going  >:(

Thanks in advance

General Discussion / Wiper motor wiring
« on: May 16, 2007, 11:41:33 PM »
Could someone please post a photo of a 69 wiper motor on the firewall showing the wiring colours. I have had the motor checked - ok.  Replaced the dash switch, but still wont work  ??? The original sockets have gone so have put individual terminals on the light blue/dark blue wire and yellow but no joy. Earth is ok according to a ohmeter, as is the earth on the dashswitch.
Is the yellow wire the only source of 12volts for the wiper motor ?? Note I am not using the washer section, just the wiper
Appeciate any assistance as is driving me mad  >:(

General Discussion / Brake Bleeder size ?
« on: April 23, 2007, 01:50:57 AM »
Can anyone tell me the size of the brake bleeders for a 69 Camaro ? Looks like 5/16 or 1/4 ? Need to know before buying the tool. Offset ring spanner.
Both front bleeders are stuck firm and the edges rounded.
Clues in removing ?

Can anyone tell how the Gas Pedal spring fits? Had to replace the Gas Pedal and have to replace the spring which broke on removal. Not sure how it goes and would appeciate a sketch or explanation. Sounds dumb but I cant seem to make the replacement spring fit. I have the pedal, spring and pin seperated  ???

Mild Modifications / zz502 into 69
« on: February 26, 2007, 04:41:16 AM »
Anyone done this transplant? Does the 502 sump fit and is there any other clearance problems when fitting to 69. Also are there any headers that will fit without adjustment ? Are the smallblock engine mounts ok ?
Thanks in advance
