Guessing it is from a ST Therese fillsize car and the last digit didn't get stamped for some reason

Definitely genuine for a 67 Impala from Los Angeles

I didn't have that vin in my research database.  I'll add it though. Remember which dealer he bought it at?  Happen to have any of the original paperwork?

Most of the ads with vins I found were in CA. It was a law starting for the 69 model year I believe in that state.

I did find ads with vins listed for some other dealers not in CA but not many.  Looks like you lucked out!

Dave, got anything interesting on the 91-93 Cutlass Supreme with the Getrag 284 5spd?  Those are quite rare!

I'd love to find one of those in a fullsize cars.  I've seen inspection tickets but not one like that.  Were there any other items folded up inside the UOIT?

Is it a first edition warranty book or is there no vin punched through the book?

Danny, here is the ad the 2nd owner saw.  Did the previous owner give you this when you bought the car?  I had found the ad for it by chance (before the car surfaced) when I was looking through old newspaper ads online and saving ones with vins.  It was a fluke that this car later surfaced only months after I found the ad!  I have the full page PDF saved if you want a copy.  Just shoot me an email.  Warren

My list has info from all years 63-72 but I usually mark down what year the info is from

Got mine back today. Zone 35. (N.J.).  Dealer code is 166 which is not available in current documents. any help would be greatly appreciated. I know it came from an individual just north of there near Nyack NY prior to me buying it. 1969 z28. Thanks Gary.
Had 2 close ones in my list.  35-164 was Irwin Chevrolet, Passaic NJ and 35-167 was June Chevrolet in Metuchen NJ.  It's possible that June changed dealer numbers by one.  If not then your dealer was alphabetically between these two.

I won it and am working on reuniting it with the car.  Pop was stamped in error with suffix code for LM1/TH350 for a fullsize car.
