Yes, Kendall was it. We used to run it and the only complaint was the color after a while. Course most oil now is so clear you can,t see it on the stick.

I remember back in the day using a green oil. I don,t remember it being called Brad Penn. We discussed then that it got darker quicker. The appearance of oil signaled a change since most people did not change by mileage.

Back in the day laying on the ground with a flashlight I threw them away. I reinstall them now. The one with the slot is easier to work with.

You could run original type on the right and interlock on the left since the left was the problem. Have I broken an original left? yes , did it lift and pull the throttle , yes , did it scare me? yes, would I still run an original type on a top level restoration or survivor , yes.

I am running 3 Holleys now without the protection. I have had a blown out PV years ago but I think it takes a serious back fire.

If you want to be "correct" install the recall hold down kit for non locking mounts.

I think it is .overpriced even if it was all real. I would bet it is not a real RS.

I have replaced sec vac diaphrams and really did not notice the ball. Looks like it might keep a backfire from blowing the sec diaphragm also. I agree with DW that the check ball was most likely not the problem.

Since most cars we have run carbs, not FI,and run short trips fuel contamination in the oil to me is more important than brand name. Change it when it smells like gas instead of X miles.
