Decoding/Numbers / Re: Original ball joint amd tie rod numbers
« on: November 25, 2014, 02:49:42 AM »
The only number in the 67 assembly manual is 9740569 for the upper ball joint with a 7800908 option for an upper ball joint.
There is not a number for the lower ball joint as well as the tie rods and idler arm.  The lower control arm was an assembly as well as the relay & tie rod assembly.  The individual part numbers are not given in the assembly manual.  I am looking for the original assembly line part numbers for the upper and lower ball joints, tie rods and tie rod sleeves, and idler arm.

Decoding/Numbers / Original ball joint amd tie rod numbers

Has anyone done any research on first gen. Camaro front end part numbers?  I'm trying to piece together the front end of my
67 Z-28 but cannot find the original part numbers to the ball joints and tie rods.  I have come up with 4 or 5 different numbers
depending who I talk to.  I would be great to have a parts list for the complete front ends.

My COPO came from Jack Maxton Cheverolet  and has the same build date,  TO512MN .  vin# 647967   My original motor is missing.  If you ever want to sell it I would be interested

Is that number cast into the wheel cylinder?

Does anyone know the part/casting number for rear wheel cylinders for 67 Camaro Z-28.

The 717 coded standard blue interior in 67 is light blue.  Seatcovers, carpet, headliners all were light blue.  The bright blue is for the deluxe only.
There was medium and dark blue in 68 and 69.

I think I will try the 30% semi flat black.  It is hard to compare unless you know
what the originals look like.

I am about to paint the black part of my console.  What gloss do I need to use?
The 30%  looks too dull.  Is the dash bezel above the console the same as the console?

Looks like the chrome ones are a 68 only and 67's were painted the dash color.

I am 90% sure that 67 hade color coded vent bezels.  68 hade the chrome bezels.  I am
not sure about the 67 with the interior chrome package,  Maybe they were chrome.
