General Discussion / Rear Spoiler Mounting?
« on: July 28, 2006, 08:26:45 PM »
Just got my new (repo) deck lid and rear spoiler back from the paint shop.  I thought they were supposed to pre drill the holes for the spoiler but they didn't.  What is the best way to mount the spoiler?  I am a little anxious about drilling the holes in the deck lid and want to do it accurately.

General Discussion / Dipstick Location
« on: July 19, 2006, 11:06:42 AM »
In shopping for an engine for my 68 coupe restoration, I find that 350 cu. in. Chevy engines are available with the dipstick located on either the drivers side or the passengers side.  What is the relevance?  Is one a truck engine?  Would the location of the dipstick affect the value of the car?

Thanks for the help.  Does anyone know where I might find the driver's side rear piece (the bottom one in the picture)?

I don't know what type of screws are used.  Maybe someone else can help.

Does anyone have a picture of how the sill plate wire covers fit (mount)?  This is for a 68 coupe.

General Discussion / Window Guides
« on: March 28, 2006, 12:05:15 PM »
Does anyone have a diagram showing how the window guides are arranged inside the door.  I have obtained two doors with my 68 that were disassembled in order to paint and now the regulators and guides need to be reinstalled.  My Assembly Manual does not have this information in it.  I am referrring to the metal channels that the rollers on the ends of the regulators ride in when the window is rolled up and down.

Restoration / Heater Box Sealing
« on: March 19, 2006, 06:46:55 PM »
I am putting in a heater box that I had restored and I do not have any kind of gasket to put between the heater box and the firewall.  Is there a gasket available or do you just put weatherstrip sealant (such as 3M) on the mating surfaces?  This is on a 68 Camaro, originally with factory A/C.
