I don't think you can recreate the factory finish, but you can clean them up to look good.  Clean all the rust off (wire wheel or blast), then bring back some of the finish with some sanding followed with a scotch brite or steel wool.  Can even polish from there if you wanna go with that look.

Problem is keeping them looking good.

I think the 'detail gray' is the cast color, but I haven't really used Eastwood much.

When I rebuilt the front susp on my GTO about 5 years ago, it was wire-wheel cleaned and cast blast.  I've driven it a lot and through any weather and it's held up pretty well.

But that was years ago.  Since then we blast and epoxy anything that gets the cast paint, and even now we use "real" paint rather than rattle for the cast color.

If you MUST go natural, just clear coating the bare metal doesn't work so well.  Clear isn't made to bite into it.  I've found (after a lot of experimenting) that using an etching solution helps a lot.

a low psi bead blast, followed with a fine steel wool rub will make it look nice, but don't clear it.

Fel-Pro also has a black "racing" gasket set that has no holes for the heat crossover.  Don't remember the pn, but it's one off from the blue set.

There was one report on TC of someone using the newly-tooled moldings about maybe a year ago.  Supposedly a lot better than the old ones.

The 67-8 Camaro has narrower rear 1/4s than a 69.  The "short" spoiler used in 68 was carried over into the 69 model year, with the transition to the wider spoiler being pretty much finished around the end of Feb 69.

The long 69 spoiler won't work on a 67.

I wouldn't consider it a rebody either. 

In the pics posted you can clearly see the weld in the A-pillar that would have some look further into the possibility of it having been clipped at some time.  I think that is what the OP is talking about, that it should've been mentioned?

Is this the car that you had posted about a while back that had the VIN on the cert on digit off from the VIN on the car?
