Originality / '69 Pace convertible
« on: January 11, 2006, 11:54:23 AM »
There is a '69 camaro convertible  pace car on Ebay this week, i asked the sellor to send pictures of the trunk corner "weights", so i could observe how they were attached on top to the trunk brace ,etc. He wrote back and stated that since this car had a "power" top that NO weights were originally installed. Is this correct or is he just trying to justify that the car does not have the weights?
I thought all '67-69 camaro convertibles had corner weights installed whether they had a power top or not!

Decoding/Numbers / Re: Is this a re-stamp?

Just reading this and now i am real curious as to how you can tell if it truly is a "re-stamp".
Please explain how to visually determine a re-stamp block.
thanks.

Decoding/Numbers / 12 bolt decoding - mistamp?
« on: November 11, 2005, 02:35:02 PM »
I have a '69 camaro cvt. (norwood) that has a 12 bolt rear end with these codes: BL W1302.
Could someone shed some light  as why the codes are like this. Could it  be a mis-stamp?. All the letters are in a straight line.
thanks.

Restoration / CORRECT UNDER BODY COLOR
« on: November 07, 2005, 12:42:37 PM »
What is correct paint/sealer to be used for underneath '69 camaro convertible body shell. The car upper body has recently been painted white, original color.  Also which areas, if any of the underbody receive different color or types of paint/sealers?
thanks.

Originality / Re: 1969 FAN INFO
« on: November 05, 2005, 08:12:12 PM »
The website does explain which fan blade/radiator combination but for '69 camarosbc w/o AC,  it does not say the dimensions (inches) of the four blade fixed fan and also the aluminum spacer length has not been determined.  If someone  could tell me the correct size of both,  i would appreciate it.
thanks
