Power steering with the 350 block and power brakes, do the lines go under or over the engine mount.  Do both go there or does one go under and one over, which one  goes where?
Photos would be very helpful.
Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the responses, greatly appreciated!  Any thoughts on which supplier, either Camaro or Corvette that would have the most appropriate set with ribs on one and GM logo on the other?

I thought I would start on new post on my quest to detail the engine compartment of my 68.  The car is an 05C Norwood build.  It has a 1974 350 with an Edelbrock intake manifold and carb.  My goal is to make it “look” as original as I can.  I have researched the AIM and Forums but many of threads are quite old and, at least to me, not definitive, it seems the answers may be dependent on when and where the car was built.
So, specific to my car, here are my current questions.
Heater hoses, should they have ribs and/or GM square logos, on one or both?  The repo catalogs are not very specific as to applications, who sells the right ones?  What length should they be?
Power steering, do the hoses go under or over the engine mount.  Do both go there or is one go under and one over, which one  goes where?
I have seen references to engine compartment photos from the Sep/Oct 1996 Camaro Enthusiast magazine, does anyone have a link to those?
As always, thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks again, there seems to be photo evidence of both types of clips and inside or outside the heater hoses, could this be a "where built" situation?  My 68 is an NOR.

Great photo, my clip is similar to that one but the 'wire clip' configuration portion is different.  Guess I will put it in in a way that it keeps the wire away form the exhaust manifold.

Thanks to all for your help!

Big thanks for all of the tips and information!  I am finally at the point of finishing up some things but am still stumped by the starter wire clip on the lower right (as viewed from the front) heater box cover stud.  I did go thru the AIM but have found a conflict.  Page I/M2 (page 52 in my book) shows a "J" clip, but sheet 12/A11 (page 158) shows a more complex configuration.  This clip was snugged up on my wire too far away to be installed on the stud and the configuration appears the same except it is a mirror image.  Additionally, my wire has been wrapped with what appears to be some type of heat insulating tape, is this original?  A photo would be great but any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help

Quick question, are the bolts and washers that attach the alternator and power steering brackets to the engine cad or black phosphate?  Thanks in advance for your help.

Restoration / front seat belt installation

I am finally getting around to putting the seat belts back in the car, unfortunatly I did not take them out and I can't for the life of me figure out how to install the "hump" side belt with the rubber boot on it.  It appears the bolt has to go thru the hole in the boot, but once you do that you can't access the bolt head???
As always, thanks for any help.
Steve

mornin' all, I have a 68 Camaro with a 1974 350 in it.  As part of the work we are doing on it we will be adding headers.  My problem is that the alternator bracket was bolted thru the exhaust manifold, but now with the headers I don't think that will be an option.  Any thoughts on the installation will be greatly appreciated.
