Garage Talk / F Body National Sept 21-22 - Has anyone attended??

Looking to drive up to Memphis for the F Body Nationals, has anyone been there? Is it worth the trip?
It is 900 mile drive from FL and am hoping it is worth it. Any other must sees in the neighborhood?

Maintenance / Intermittent Horn Blowing - 1968 Camaro RS / SS / BB

What would cause intermittent horn blowing? Every so often my horn goes off for no reason.
I have looked at the parts on the steering column and nothing looks broken. Scares the SHXX out of me.

Originality / History Of Z11 1969 RS SS BB - Canadian Dealer Park Ave Chev Olds, St Leonard,PQ

Looking for any info on Z11 Pace Car, I have the GM of Canada Limited build sheet and am looking for any info after it was delivered to dealer. Car is 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS / SS 396 Indy Sport Convertible.
VIN # 124679N641885 - I purchased the car 2 years ago from Landis Motorsports LLC in Manheim, PA. while it was in Florida. Old Title shows Walnut Grove Auto in Mt Joy, PA. I have contacted them twice but never received any additional info. I am guessing car was in someones collection as it is in great shape with all matching component numbers and a pretty good repaint.
I am looking for advise on how to track down any additional information, I have also checked with the Canadian dealer but they had no info either.

Garage Talk / Attending Hot August Nights - Virginia City Nevada

I would like to attend Hot August Nights and would like to talk to someone that has been there.
I have been to the web site and see it runs for the whole week Aug 3rd thru the  11th. Any insight would be appreciated. Recommend place to stay or days to attend. I would be visiting from Florida and hope to visit Lake Tahoe also.

My 69 Camaro brake lights quit working. I checked the switch and it is ok. Turn signals are working. .

Brake light bulbs ok
Running lights are working

Brake lights not working
4 way flashers not working

What does the silver tridon dot 552 do in the fuse block?

I have a 1969 Camaro Pace Car Convertible and the orange door panels appear to be different. The fronts seem to be a solid orange vinyl door card and the rear seem to be a vinyl covered. Any one familiar with interior panels? Is this normal?

General Discussion / Prop shaft dust cover? 1969 Camaro

Where my drive shaft enters the rear differential is what looks like a dust cover. Recently it has started to spin with the drive shaft making a ringing type noise. How do I stop it?? Does it require a rebuild of the rear end. Any exploded view would be helpful. Would that be the Flange Assembly I see in the NPD catalog pg 151?

Does anyone have pictures of how to set up cowl induction? I have found or brought all the parts but not sure how to remove solenoid & door or reinstall switch.

General Discussion / 1969 Cowl Induction

I have the cowl induction system on the hood of my car but it does not work. Is there a diagram of parts and location of components. I do not understand what triggers it to open or where it might be located. I have the relay on firewall and tan and pink wires hanging by fuse box. What am I missing? Where should the accelerator sensing switch be? Factory Assembly manual is not helping. UPC - ZL 2, pg A2,A4,A5

Where should I look for the problem of my covers opening ok but do not close? Is there a diagram of how the vacuum system works and what the components are. That would help me with all the spaghetti under the hood and fenders.

General Discussion / Camaro Rear End Axle housing bumper

I have a 1969 Camaro PC 396 and am looking to find the rear axle bumper or what one looks like.

On the body of the car above the rear universal is a rectangular hole with a hole on each side.

I bottom out from time to time and this might help. I may also have to install air shocks.
