Restoration / Stripping shortblock... found this on the floor... what is it?

Hey guys I was disassembling a 69 327 block and after I was finished and sweeping up and found this piece laying on the ground.  Could anybody tell me what this is or where it came from?   Any insight would be amazing.  Thanks guys!!

Decoding/Numbers / Help with 618 casting number

Hey guys I was wondering if anybody could shed some light on this block I just bought... the only info I can find is on the 6618 nothing for a 0618.  Thanks so much
