« on: December 14, 2015, 04:28:11 AM »
So I just reinstalled my sub frame in my RS SS BIG BLK and I'm looking forward to putting the car back together from a rotisserie restoration. I'm restoring this car for value and want to try to keep everything original as possible . The car had huge rust issues and leaked so bad the previous owner quite driving it during the winter. Do you experts thing reinstalling a 47 year old harness is worth the hassle or will a new harness devalue the car. Thanks for you help

Restoration / New quarters on my 68
« on: September 21, 2014, 03:26:43 AM »
Big dumb and happy here , I'm going to install new quarters on my RS/SS Big block. I've taken it off the rotisserie and supported it at the front subframe ,and the rear axle mounts. (6 location) I'm going to rebuild the hinges on my doors. I have a box tubing cage installed to keep the body from warping while I installed the roof structure , floor, etc. I'll cut that out and install the doors and get them to fit the existing quarters with good tolerances . Then remove the existing quarters and install the new one to fit the doors ,trunk gutter , sail panel. 80 hrs later I'm done. Please let me if my process has any flaws or if you have tips on ? Thanks in advance , build on! :)

Restoration / Measurement between the quarters
« on: September 20, 2014, 03:42:25 AM »
Hi to all, I'm new and have been restoring a 68 RS/SS big block. It was a mess, rusty bucket. New floor new A pillar post new roof structure, new trunk, new book shelf, now I'm on the piece between the trunk and the rear window, the new piece has me worried because it seem to be pushing the quarters out. I'm going to test fit the trunk lid tomorrow but does anyone know the measurement from seam to seam? Thanks in advance for your help.
