General Discussion / 1968 Camaro Small Block Header Fitment
« on: May 05, 2023, 11:42:40 AM »
Looking to find out what ceramic or stainless steel headers for a bone stock 68 Camaro fit the best. I'm having trouble with Doug's D308 that fit all Chevy Camaro,Nova,Chevelle,Monte Carlo and Impala small blocks. Crummy fit for the LH header hitting the floor and not centered. Any members out there with good reviews on a set of 1 5/8" or 1 3/4" headers that fit and are centered in the trans cross member? My car has a Muncie 4 spd with factory PS.
Thanks

Looking to have a set of spring perches welded onto my 12 bolt. Is there anyone out there who has had this done and is happy with the quality of work? I live in the Massachusetts.
Thanks.

General Discussion / 215 70 15 Black Wall Radial Tires
« on: January 23, 2017, 01:35:16 AM »
Want to purchase a set of tires for my daily driver 68 convertible. Have a set of 15x6 rims. Not a big fan of the current white letter tires. Also don't want to turn white letters in. Anyone have some good experiences on current 215 70 15 radials you can purchase at your local tire store or online. I'm thinking Michelin,Goodyear,Bridgestone,BF Goodrich, etc. Thanks,Jim.

Originality / Original Q-Jet Mounting Bolts
« on: September 10, 2015, 12:38:45 AM »
Does anyone know what the proper carb mounting bolt head markings should be for 67 and 68 Camaro 350 engines with a Q-Jet?
I think the 67 has studs on the rear and 68 has bolts on the rear.
Thanks.

General Discussion / Wiper Transmission Linkage Differences
« on: March 12, 2014, 04:05:59 PM »
Can anyone help me ID the year of my wiper transmisssion linkage? From what I understand a 67 is different than a 68/69. And the 68/69 set-up will work in a 67 but not the other way around. I assume this is because of the astro ventilation. My linkage has the #s 24 stamped on each end of the short bar and 53 stamped on each end of the long bar. Thanks, Jim.
