General Discussion / Help with 69 Z11 rear sear bulkhead marking
« on: October 29, 2019, 01:18:31 AM »
Iím currently restoring a 69 Z11. This is a one owner car. Iíve known the car for many years. I knew the owner and bought it from the owners daughter after he passed. It is original drive train and came with documents.

The rear seat area has a XO or a XD on the rear seat bulk head. I showed it to James (firstgenaddict) today. He suggested I post it here. So what is it? I thought it maybe X = houndstooth O = Orange.
What does every one think? Just wondering.
Thanks in advance. Rich

Decoding/Numbers / Another 5OR not NOR Trim Tag
« on: July 25, 2019, 09:16:55 PM »
I'm working on this car in my shopped spotted this trim tag. I bought me off guard, it has 5OR where normally NOR would be. as you can see its a 69 coupe, Hugger Orange, Std Blk interior. Late build 09D car. X11 code. With VIN 9N688113. I saw one other post here but have never see a tag like this. Thoughts? was this a late production phenomenon when the Fisher BDY numbers got reset?
Appreciate the comments,

1969 - Orphans / 1969 JH Block 19N619355
« on: December 08, 2018, 10:16:41 PM »
Hi guys, I have a 396 4bolt main block that I bought 5 years ago. Casting number is 3955272, Casting Date is C219. Partial VIN as far as I can make out is 19N619355. The 6 isn't real clear but seems to be the only option based on casting date. The Pad Stamp is severely pitted, but seems to be T0325JH. I've attached pictures. Not looking to sell, but if the owner of this car shows up here someday, I have it for the record. Located in South Carolina. I bought it in northern NY state. Comments are welcome and appreciated.
