« on: August 09, 2013, 02:53:27 AM »
Saw a Z with LH manifold # 3933041 or 3939041. I know this is not correct but can anyone ID this part and which motor/car it belongs to?
Thanks

Restoration / Front kick panels 69 Camaro
« on: August 02, 2013, 04:20:50 PM »
What is the difficulty level in R & R the front lower kick panels. Does the dash pad have to come out, or the dash come apart or is it impossible to do without taking the interior apart?
Any tips or suggestions are appreciated!

Originality / Chalk mark on rear bulkhead
« on: July 15, 2013, 05:51:46 PM »
Were Norwood cars the only ones with the chalk marks on the rear right side bulk head behind the upper part of the back seat or was that done at the LA Van Nuys plant  as well?
Thanks as always

Did the console gauge packages all include the low fuel warning light or was that an option?
This is an original car with the option from the factory as far as I know

Originality / 69 SS 350 300 HP car
« on: June 24, 2013, 08:33:45 PM »
OK I may take the plunge and buy an SS 350 car. Its a nice unmolested original car but I don't know much about them and Jerry's book only covers, well you all know.
Are the 350 hydraulic lifter cars? compression ratio? things like that I.
Any input general or specific or things to watch for would be appreciated.
I wish it was another Z but oh well.
Thanks

Restoration / 69 Camaro Front Spoiler Finish
« on: October 05, 2012, 08:09:56 PM »
I finished repairing my original front spoiler after it being badly damaged. I have been experimenting with different shades of black (5 different ones so far) my favorites include Krylon Semi-Gloss (30% gloss) and Krylon Satin ( about 40% gloss)
I like the satin finish (as opposed to the semi-gloss when mounted on the car seems almost flat in color) since the original spoilers had a bit of a sheen to the molded plastic. Any suggestions or different colors of black I can try for the close to correct factory finish. Never knew there were so many different shades of black!
Thanks

Restoration / 69 Front Spoiler Brackets
« on: September 30, 2012, 05:43:35 PM »
Are the original factory brackets the same length and have the same angel twist and flat flanges as the reproductions? I was going to use the correct mounting kit not the aftermarket one but hesitate attaching the bracket and washer to the bottom outside of lower fender extension, not to the inside of the extension as you do with the repro set.  That attachment point may damage the paint etc if the spoiler is banged around??? GM AIM says differently.........refer to AIM D80 A1
Thanks for the help

Restoration / Front Spoliers 69 Camaro
« on: September 22, 2012, 02:17:27 AM »
Can someone please tell me what type of specific material (what type of plastic) the front spoilers were/are made of. Not the cheap Taiwan repops but an original GM period made piece. This info. will help me get the correct repair materials.
Thanks for the help...
