Originality / N30 Deluxe Steering Wheel Finish
« on: March 24, 2019, 11:40:50 PM »
My father had my steering refurbished for a Christmas present as it is nearly impossible to find a N30 in good condition.  My question is whether the center piece should be semi or hi gloss.  I think it's called the horn shroud.  Same with the two buttons.

Maintenance / Air filter cuting into hood insulation
« on: June 04, 2016, 09:25:08 PM »
I had a K&N filter where the air filter profile is too tall.  The nut on the top of the housing has worn a hole in the hood insulation.  I purchased new hood insulation and an AC Delco stock filter.  It looks like I am going to have the same problem.  Is there a stock low profile air filter out there?

I have a power steering fluid leak and will be replacing the lines.  Is there any special replacement fluid I should be using or is modern standard fluid ok?

My fan shroud doesn't quite sit flush to the radiator.  I have the correct mounting bracket according to NPD's catalog.  Does this look correct?

I am restoring my 1968 RS SS interior.  What is the best resource to find out what came standard as far as door panels, gauges, seats?  I know options were available on everything., but I am looking for a solid base.  Thanks in advance.

Restoration / 1968 Fuel Line
« on: October 13, 2010, 01:34:26 AM »
I am looking for a picture of how the pump to carb fuel line should look on a '68 396/350hp motor with a Quadrajet.  I bought a fuel line from NPD and it seems like it is aligned too close to the block and valve cover.  Thanks in advance.
