Anyone know for sure if shims for coil springs where used by GM engineers (typically one side) to even out a car that was leaning to one side ?? I heard shims were used but have not been able to confirm this. I would think the shim would change the spring characteristics.
Did the original front spoilers for 69's have any GM numbers on them I have one with just a GM sticker on it. There are no letters or numbers on the spoiler, other than the GM sticker.
Can you tell the actual date of stamping from genuine GM parts labels on NOS sheet metal ?? Does the actual GM sticker have a date on it??? I'm referring to the date the part was produced.
Anyone know if the plastic trim piece for the dash grab handle has GM part#'s on it?? (1969 Camaro) I found one with the letters CPP on it. Is this a reproduction piece??? Thanks
Anyone know what the correct GM part# is for a 69 (Rosewood) 4 speed shifter console plate?? There appears to be 2 different part #'s ? 3921801 and 3949537
Anyone have a good paint that closely matches the "correct" color of the hood hinges on a 69 ?? I'm not sure I want them plated in Phosphate and have to worry about rust. Most of the hinges I have seen, look dark grey, not really the phosphate color???
Anyone have any tips on how to buff out the chrome area's on a 69, 4 speed console plate This is the area that has the 2 attaching screws, top and bottom. I would like to bring back the shine. Thx
