General Discussion / Protectoplate

I have the protectoplate for my 69 SS along with the original sale docs on the numbers matching car. Everything matches nicely, the dymotape buyers' information is on clear tape as it should be but the imprints are not reversed nor is there a visible GM logo on the tape. Has anyone ever seen this on other examples?

Decoding/Numbers / 1969 Distributor

My 69 (02A build)has the original born with engine, 350/300hp build date 1/30/69. The distributor, 1111488 with a build date of 8H29 seems early to be in that engine. Any thoughts on whether or not it's the original distributor?

I'm considering installing 15" Torque Trust D wheels to my Butternut Yellow 69 SS and am at a loss to determine the proper backset spacing and offset to use.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Decoding/Numbers / Carb numbering

The carburetor on my 69 is numbered 702 (60's production) 9 (year produced) 2 (quadrajet) 0 (Chevrolet) 7 (manual Trans). However the date on the carb is 3477 which I read as the 347th day of 67, can anyone tell me why the seeming discrepancy and if this carb is original to my 69 350/300 SS?
