I received a gift calendar of Dale Klee's unique work earlier this year just did a search on line for his site. A lot of excellent art here and one in particular that should interest first gen Camaro fans entitled "Camaros and Kin." http://www.oldcarart.com/

We're glad to see CRG is back in action but what happened to all the attached pics? All I get is the infamous red X in the corner of where the pic should be. My avatar is also missing from all of my posts. Anyone else have this problem?

General Discussion / 2010 427 Camaro

Has anyone seen this?: http://www.denooyerchevrolet.com/ou/colonie-chevrolet/console.do?page=f_search&type=new&contentid=Denooyer-N&run=true&year=2010&make=Chevrolet&model=Camaro

I can't get a link to the direct page but half way down this inventory list page click on the 'DeNooyer Performance' red 2SS 7.0l pic.

They claim to be the only dealership in the country doing this.

Has anyone ever gone this route to purchase a car?
Lots of Camaros here with what appears to be great prices.

General Discussion / Buyer beware discussion

I just finished reading an interesting and lengthy thread over at nastyz28. http://www.nastyz28.com/forum/showthread.php?t=107384 He is accused of selling repop pieces as NOS.

Does anyone here have any experience dealing with the eBay buyer/seller: gm_restoration_parts?
I thought he appeared good according to his feedback record but after reading the above thread I'm not so sure anymore.

Originality / DX1 stripe question
« on: September 11, 2009, 04:06:58 PM »
Were there any restrictions as to the use of this stripe with the hoods available in 1969? I'm trying to determine if the DX1 option could be ordered with the BB stack or ducted air hoods. I've never seen it applied on true survivor cars unless it had the standard flat hood. I don't see a problem with the ducted hood but wonder if the stack location would prohibit its use with the BB hood.

Decoding/Numbers / Radio code
« on: July 15, 2009, 12:06:37 AM »
I posted this question on the wrong forum, Originality/Ground straps in responce to 69x33rs question (What type of radio is this?) and pic of his '69 AM radio. :-[ Sorry.

I'll try this again.

The '69 AM radio in this post has the same service model number-91APB1, and product number-7307311 that mine has. The serial numbers however are quite different- 11PAS-8239 on his and 11PBR-1260 on mine. Is this simply a serial number, a code to tell the difference between single and dual speaker models or just a build date? Have I overlooked a decode list on this site?

Thanks
Al

Mild Modifications / AM/FM radio
« on: June 27, 2009, 11:18:19 AM »
I have a couple questions about the use of original '69 AM/FM radios. I understand they were only installed with a front fender antenna, presumably for good reception. I have the RPO U73 rear antenna on my car and was wondering if a booster is available to make this setup work, if indeed it would. Was it just a problem with distant or all reception that prevented this combination?

Decoding/Numbers / Rally wheels
« on: June 22, 2009, 06:32:01 PM »
I came across a set of rally wheels at a garage sale with markings I can't decode. The seller stated they came off a first gen Camaro but couldn't say which year. There are no stampings around the valve hole or rim, only on the raised nubs between lug holes facing outward. K-1-9 on one and an H above GM on the other.

I understand some '67's weren't dated but these are 15x7 wheels, too big to be from a '67.

Any ideas to what these came off of?

Maintenance / RS headlight washers
« on: June 14, 2009, 06:42:04 PM »
Anyone know the correct routing for the driver side headlight washer hose?

Mine leaves the bundle of vacuum hoses just under the fender well brace bolt point on the core support and runs through the larger triangular hole on the door hinge plate before connecting to the nozzle. This doesn't seem right as the hose is somewhat pressed against the headlight when open and rubs against the hinge plate when operating. The passenger side just takes a direct route above the hinge plate and I suspect the driver's side should also.

Should the hose travel further along the support before exiting? I don't see another tie point for the hoses any closer to the headlight.
