General Discussion / 67 SS HOOD SIT HIGH IN THE REAR

hello
my 67 is finally complete and im chasing gremlins! the ss(finned) hood sits high in the rear bye the cowl(3/8), the hood is problee after markit,and so are the hinge's, all the adjustment is used up on the hinge's, after closing you can push the hood down in the rear closer to being closed, I do know that the spring on the hinge's are non-ss 26 coil units.
my question is will changing to the ss hinge springs get the hood to close completely? and if so i need ideas on safe removal of the spring while the hinge's are still on the car?

, CAN THE 69 SEATS BE RECOVERED, REFOAMED TO BE 67 OR 68 STANDARD SEATS? THE 69 ARE STANDARD SEATS ALSO.
