General Discussion / 1969 Z/28 camaro research
« on: June 30, 2020, 01:38:14 PM »
I have a burnish brown 1969 Z/28 which was sold out is Ewing Chevrolet in Canton Ohio. I have researched it back to 1980 in Poland Ohio when it was owned by Duane Forsyth. Looking for any leads to previous owners from may/June 1969 to 1980. Thanks for any help.

Originality / 69 Z28 fuel pump
« on: April 02, 2013, 11:01:01 PM »
I know that this has been discussed before, but i would like to clarify the use of the 40987 fuel pump. I have one on my 57K 69 Z/28, which I thought was original. All of the info I have read states that the 40669 is the only correct pump. I have read several threads on CRG, but was wondering if any new info has surfaced since?  Thanks for any info!!   Bill

Restoration / Clurch fan rebuild
« on: August 13, 2012, 02:37:21 AM »
I have to get the original clutch fan rebuilt on my 67 Camaro. I found a site for Kirkconnell Corvettes that does the rebuild. Does anyone have any information good or bad on this vendor? Thanks  Bill

Hey Guys,
I am in the process of restoring an original burnish brown 69Z originally from the Poland Ohio area. I am looking for information, former owners, or anything that will help me document this car. I have traced it back several owners to a person named Duane Forsyth from Poland. It was apart and painted a candy burgandy color when I bought it. Someone may remember it in that form. If anyone out there can help it would be much appreciated. Oh by the way the original selling dealer was Ewing Chevrolet of Canton Ohio.  Thanks . Ned

Restoration / Legends acceptable finishes
« on: February 22, 2009, 08:21:55 PM »
I know that I am probably opening up a can of worms here, but I am looking for input from the experts as to what the acceptable finishes are for several items on my 67 Camaro. I'll list the items with my thoughts and let the discussion begin.

Tail lite screws and nuts (silver cad)
                  Holley fuel block (Brass)
Firewall wire gutter screws (black phosphate)
                  motor mount bolts (black phos.)
bell crank and clutch linkage (black phos.)
Emergency brake hardware under car (black phos./silver cad for cable connectors)

Please remember that this is for legends judging at the Camaro Nationals. I have already discussed these items with Jerry M, but again I am looking for a consensus on the CRG. I may have a few other items in the future, but let's see where this leads first. Thanks in advance for your input.   Bill C. 67Z

Originality / exhaust french locks
« on: February 13, 2008, 03:15:23 AM »
Do the french locks on 67 exhaust manifolds go between the washer and bolt head or between the manifold and washer? Seems loke an elementry question, but it does make a difference  Thanks

Originality / Radiator petcock
« on: February 13, 2008, 01:24:16 AM »
On the original petcock on 67 camaros did the ear openings face towards the engine or towards the radiator? If I have it straight the repops are opposite of the original. Thanks  Bill
