Says 4 speed with console. Sounds fun but looks like a project.

Does anyone know if there is an obvious difference between an original and reproduction tachometer for a 67? 6K redline in particular.

Maybe someone can inquire about the VIN and verify the stamps. Looks like 7N22220X.

Saw this and thought it looked pretty cool. Seems a bit pricey for NOM. Maybe the most rare thing is it still has no spoiler.

General Discussion / 1968 RS/SS
« on: July 13, 2016, 03:42:16 AM »
A friend was showing me this car over the weekend. Kind of interesting. Looks to have been an original big block though the engine doesn't appear original. Has it's original Muncie and a 67 12 bolt rear(clamped over multileafs).

Have any 6K tachs been found in anything other than solid lifter cars for 1968? Like L35's or L34's?

General Discussion / Took my 69 to its original owner for a visit
« on: July 19, 2013, 02:30:42 AM »
This past weekend I drove my 69 RS/SS over 100 miles to visit its original owner. What a great experience. I had been in contact with him for about 8 years now and finally got the guts to take the car on a 220 mile round trip in the 90+ degree heat. My only regret is that I was unable to get the A/C operating before hand. The drive was great and the car drove wonderful. But, even more wonderful was the man himself. The man who met his wife-to-be shortly before taking delivery of his new Camaro which they would drive on their honeymoon in New England a few years later. The guy now caring for his ailing wife was able to take a break for a ride down memory lane behind the wheel of his old weathered, but solid Camaro. It was a good time!

General Discussion / Dynamotion COPO pics
« on: April 17, 2013, 02:27:07 AM »
I got these cool old pictures from a co-worker who used to work at Dynamotion performance in Suitland, Maryland way back in 1970. The car was a Hugger Orange COPO and it looks like it was recently found. There is a really cool thread about it and a bunch more pics over at

Restoration / Interior parts suppliers

Experienced opinions wanted.
I am considering replacing the interior components in my 68 RS and I'd like some input from those who have some experience with new reproduction parts and upholstery. Primary items I intend to replace are seat upholstery and foam, dash pad, door panels and rear panels, headliner and carpet. So, if anyone cares to share their experience with these products, brand and where they were purchased and wheter you liked or disliked them, I'd appreciate it. I'm just trying to avoid buying known garbage for a car I drive on a regular basis.
Its Ivy Gold standard.
