1969 - Orphans / 9N603025 M-20 on DC area Craigslist
« on: March 01, 2011, 11:35:27 AM »
1969 Muncie M20, Stamp P9B11A (1969 February 11 M20), VIN stamp N603025, 10 spline input (2 rings), 27 spline output, 3925660 main case (correct for 1968-1970), 3950306 side cover (1969), 3846429 tail housing (1964-1970 driver’s side speedometer), 3950356 tag (1969 M20 for a Nova, Chevelle or Camaro with 302, 350 or 396 and 3.07 or 3.31 gear). No shifter or linkage. Trans is in good condition overall, all ears are in good shape, but one ear does have some type of hard putty on it (no evidence of a crack on the ear, however). Have not had the transmission in a running car, so do not know how it shifts. Pulled side cover off and looks good inside. Could be good as-is, but selling as a core. $350.

Originality / 69 Low fuel light application
« on: July 05, 2008, 01:36:22 PM »
Hello folks ~another originality question~

I read somewhere recently that ALL 69 cars with the console gauge option (U17 ?) got the low fuel light in the dash with the reason being that it was too hard to scan the fuel gauge in it's location. Is it true that ALL 69's with console gauges got the low fuel light? I know the lens is there but I'm specifically asking about the module and wiring.

Thanks for sharing the knowledge!

Originality / 270 coil
« on: July 03, 2008, 02:43:13 PM »
Hi guys,

On the original 270 ignition coils for cars with the ZL2 hood is the "270" supposed to be embossed, raised or painted.....or a combination? Are there any other date codes or markings on them? The car I'm looking to confirm if the coil is original or not is my 04C small block Z-11.

Thanks!!

Is it just me or does the casting date (C-11-69) seem early for that VIN?

Restoration / 69 Z-11 with original door decals needed near Chicago
« on: November 20, 2007, 12:50:40 AM »
Hi Folks,,

I'm posting this on behalf of Ralph from Stencils & Stripes.....and for all of us that have a Z-11. He'd like to reproduce the door decals on the 69 Pace Car correctly but he needs to find an original car with door decals, either in the trunk or on the car, to use as a template and for the correct colors and fonts.

If you live in the Chicago area or can help him in any way please respond here or contact him directly and privately at 888.233.2257.

Thanks from a Z-11 owner with no decals!! :(

« on: April 07, 2007, 08:37:55 PM »
I've got the 396-325 block out of 124x79N546280. It's a 2 bolt 3955272 casting and it's standard bore. The assembly date reads TI1I3JB. I've already sent the pics of the stamps and VIN to the CRG folks. If you own the car or know it's whereabouts please e-mail me at dave@barefootdave.com
