Is it possible that a December build Z28 block didn't get a Vin stamp on it?

Originality / 67 327/275hp coupe for database
« on: October 06, 2020, 08:33:02 PM »
I found this car in Laramie Wyoming for sale. No engine or trans with this car. It did have the 12 bolt with traction arm. I included pictures of the car and the protectoplate with trim tag. I was actually a nice car. I should have bought it. Was decently priced too. Missing lots of stuff but the body was worked. Notice it still had the traction bar plate on the floor still.

Restoration / Underside of fenders
« on: February 05, 2020, 06:37:54 PM »
Were the underside of front fenders/extensions/valance/header just primed or painted body color prior to assembly? If you need specific year, I'm asking for 67's.

Wondering if my 68 SS/RS is in the database.  I owned this car many years ago and just ran across the info in one of my books that i wrote the info down. I dont have pictures of the engine or cowl tag anymore. Unless they are on a thumb drive in a box somewhere. Info below

If anyone comes across this car, I would love to buy it back.

General Discussion / 67 power top brackets
« on: October 26, 2018, 11:14:56 PM »
Does anyone have their car apart that can show me pictures where the power top cylinder brackets go or how they are mounted? The bracket I am talking about is the upper one that the cylinder attaches to the car.

General Discussion / 67 convertible power top pump
« on: October 22, 2018, 04:47:24 AM »
I've searched the forums but can't seem to find where someone posted about the pump tear down. I know I saw it. Does anyone know where that post was?

Decoding/Numbers / 67 ss 350 block on ebay
« on: July 03, 2018, 07:22:20 PM »
Guys look at the attached pictures and is it possible that this block can be cast Sept 30th  of 1966 with a assembly date of April 20 of 1967? The deck has broach marks but I am leary of this one because of the spread of cast vs build dates. What do you think?

Originality / 67 convertibe reinforcement bolts
« on: June 28, 2018, 06:57:26 PM »
Guys I need to reinstall my reinforcement plate on my convertible trans tunnel. Does anyone know what size bolts are used to bolt it up? I did a key word search for it on CRG nothing found for that. Also looked on many retailer sites. Help please.

Originality / Seat belt buckle dates?
« on: June 18, 2018, 12:10:49 AM »
Hopefully I am not being to anal here. But I noticed while restoring my seat belts for my 01B built 67 convertible that the buckles have numbers on them (7013 and 7063). All of the numbers seem to be within about 20 numbers of each. Belt webbing have tag dates of 49C66 and 52E66.  I know there was seat belt research done on these. But I never noticed the numbers before. One set of the numbers is on the underside of the buckle cover which you can't readily see. The other is on the back. The male portions of the buckles have H10 on all of them. Maybe Kurt will chime in here since he and I talked about these before and gave him the pictures of my 09C build car.

General Discussion / Muncie shifter...is it real?
« on: June 14, 2018, 04:52:42 PM »
I've been offered this shifter for my 67 camaro. I just want to be sure it's a true muncie 4 speed shifter for my car. I looked at the research that CRG did. Its look correct. Please provide your opinion guys. I need to move fast if it's legit
