Decoding/Numbers / VIN # and Trim Tag Build Date

What would a 69 Camaro Trim Tag Build Month Be With A VIN Starting With 682 ?  CRG Data States That This Should Be A Sep 69 Build. Correct?  Would The Trim Tag Be 09 ABC or D

Restoration / Thin Chrome Stripe

Anyone have any ideas/suggestions on how to fix that thin chrome stripe that surrounds the A/C heater controller on a 69?  There are other small areas worn, such as around the left side Vent.  I was thinking of using some Chrome Spray, and spraying a bit inside of a clean cup and using a thin paint brush to paint the stripe.....Any other ideas
