General Discussion / In line fuel filter 69 Z28

Was there ever a in line fuel filter on the '69 Z28?  Just acquired my first Z and surprised that I can find no evidence that one never existed on the car. I am putting on a new gas tank and rebuilt the Holley. Car will not be judged, so I am considering adding one in to the new fuel line.

Recently acquired a '69 Z28 with the original engine. Considering running VP 110 octane or also have access to 100 octane aviation at my local airport. Any thoughts on this appreciated as well as changes I need to make to timing? I believe the car has been running on 93 pump Sunoco.

Have a recently purchased '69 Z28 that has the factory console and gauges. Console gauges work as they should. However when I turn the ignition switch on, the gen, temp, fuel lights etc. don't light up. Are they supposed to with the factory console/gauge option?? If so, what should I be looking for to cure the problem. Just put new carrier surround and lens in for both the tach and speedo. They didn't work prior to the new parts either.

I need a rally wheel for my trunk. Just want to check if I need a 5X 4.75 bolt  and 4.5" back space. Also a recommended seller. Just want a new one in the trunk of a driver that will not see any judging. I do know it needs to be 15X7.

General Discussion / '69 Z28 Crank shaft pulley

Did a '69 Z28 without power steering come with a single deep groove pulley? Car has no A/C and smog has been removed. I am removing a cobbled together power steering system in favor of manual steering which I believe the car came with. The car currently has a 2 deep groove pulley and I'm unable to find a single deep groove for it. Concern is whether everything will line up using the existing 2 deep groove pulley.

Restoration / Power steering belt configuration '69 Z28

Newbie with first post. Recently acquired a '69 Z28. Verified real car but has some cobbled together repairs from the past. Can somebody please post a correct picture of a '69 Z28 power steering system with belts aligned and brackets in place? My car had headers which I removed. Put original manifolds back on but the prior incorrect install had a incorrect bracket holding the power steering reservoir in place and keeping me from putting on the driver side manifold. Removed the bracket and can't get the belt and pulley to line up  What is my system missing?
