Paint is removed from stamp area and should be able to get a good picture.  Yep, car is not advertised now it's pending sale until the inspection/appraisal/decode is completed.

Inspection and appraisal will include documenting and photos of the following:
Engine- forward stamp, rear engine cast #, rear engine GM date code, partial VIN by oil filter,
            intake manifold #, carb #, additional general photos.
Transmission- casting #, stamp area, date and status markers.
Rear End- casting #, casting date, axle stamp.
Cowl Tag-photo

Appreciate guidance regarding any additional identification #'s/stamp areas or photo areas that should be taken?  Inspection will include detailed photos of body, interior, drivetrain and under carriage with car both on/off a lift.

Appreciate anyone sharing suggestions based on previous experience and knowledge.

Inspection and appraisal is scheduled.  Will complete decode of drivetrain with applicable casting #'s. 
Appreciate the feedback! Will post with some additional questions and request feedback once this is completed.

Anyone have any experience with an engine that has no engine pad VIN stamp? We're engines produced with only the engine VIN stamped in the alternate location adjacent to the oil filter in 1969?

Appreciate the experience of the group in helping me out.

Would appreciate any sources or advise besides NADA to put a value on a 69 Z-28.  Is it $ well spent to hire a classic car evaluator and have an inspection and report by a third party prior to purchase?

Appreciate the experience and suggestions of the group.  Only source I'm aware of is NADA. I have completed the decode of the car.  X33 car, original M22 and 12 bolt, period correct DZ 302 but not original to car built several months after car was manufactured in 69. 

Incorrect paint color on car, older restoration but car looks very clean!

Looking at a 69 Z-28 for sale.  X-33, Engine is a DZ code but not original to car as it was a June assembly and car was a January 1969 build.  All original from bottom end to the Holley carb. 

How much is the value affected by the engine not being original to the vehicle?  In this case an exact duplicate built several months after the car was built?   Remainder of drivetrain is original to vehicle M22 and 12 bolt #'s validated.  Appreciate anyone's thoughts from your experience.

Appreciate the info.  Engine I believe is original equipment to the car. It's clear now that the 10 bolt rear end is not original equipment.  My search begins for another Camaro.  Appreciate the feedback and help.

Sorry, yes all 1967 SS Camaros.  Appreciate the assistance will check all codes on rear end assembly.  So apparently it was possible to have a 1969 SS Camaro with a factory 10 bolt rear end.  Yet in 1967 every SS came factory with a 12 bolt...

Looks like KurtS has referenced the hemmings info as valid only for 1969 in another post.   So all 1967 SS cars regardless of automatic powerglide ONLY were produced with 12 bolt rear ends?
