J 4 8 ..... I believe that's November 4th, 1968. If not accurate, someone will correct me.

Yes... this one looks good. And the best part is it's nice and dry. If the other 7 look like thus one, you're good!! And if that's the case, just check the gap and reinstall.

This new approach by Hot Rod magazine in nothing more than another perceived value scam placed on customers to entice them to continue buying their products, and is perpetrated by so many other companies in all forms of sales. BUYER BEWARE.

Can you share any pictures of the "stamped" areas showing what you've described? This sounds quite interesting and I'm sure others would like to see them as well. Thanks for your consideration.

6-cylinder Camaros / Re: Keeping it original

Appreciate all the comments but I just don’t care for column shift.

Dare to be different!! There are many of us who really like a 3-speed column shifted vehicle, and it's one feature that is rarely seen any more.

Yes it is... and somewhat of a theft deterrent, especially younger thieves. If it's not an automatic, they don't know how to drive a stick.

Not always but, sometimes......a little bit too high of an idle will cause this issue when turning off an engine. It doesn't take much of an adjustment to make a difference. As this is a very easy change to make, it may solve your problem.

The engine pictures are showing a 365hp rating on the valve covers. I thought this engine was only used/available in the 1966 Chevelle offerings. ???

So either replacement valve covers are being used, or the engine was replaced. Again....????

What bunny?? I don't see anything except the steel bracket.   :-\

Can someone outline the image for me?? My old eyes aren't seeing things like I used to see them.

While not exactly the same, it's pretty darned close. Attentive eyes will know the difference, but it's certainly better than not having it on the end of the cable. Not sure on the sizes as shown in the picture as in comparison to the original. Would it work??...probably, if sizes are correct. Expensive though.

Decoding/Numbers / Re: DZ stamp opinion
« on: September 30, 2023, 11:56:31 AM »
Just throwing this out there..... Is it possible the "Z" character could have been loaded upside down in the gang stamp holder, allowing it to be misaligned with the rest of the stamping?

I haven't seen an empty gang stamp holder in some time and am not real familiar with how the individual number/letter stamps are secured in it. Does anyone have detailed pictures of one and how it was loaded prior to its use?
