General Discussion / Re: What to do?
« on: February 13, 2018, 04:36:01 AM »
My concern is pouring money into a car that isn't original. Right now I could easily get my money back.
Well,  I think you kinda just answered your own question.  Sell and get your money back and shop for one that's as close to original as possible.

..and welcome to CRG :)

Welcome to CRG and congrats.  Looks very nice.

Would you be so kind to elaborate a little on your resto?  Like...How long have you owned, any history, time its taken to complete or near complete, pics before or during (can't get enough pics) :)

Thanks

Yes Len we made it thanks.  Lost power for 7 days but thankfully we have a 15000w portable generac gen which powered the entire house ac and most other.  Just a pain in the rump for the Mrs to refuel daily as it sucked 30 gals a day.   She had to operate while I was on duty.  Was stuck at the firehouse Sat thru Monday mng as she rode thru.  This was the final straw..lol, in 3 weeks we're having generac bury a 500 gal propane tank with a stationary unit.

I was just in the keys (islamorada) yesterday.. what devastion.

I'm sure you were sweating it also. :(

Haven't heard that term in a while, but he's referring to the rear window panel (between the window and deck lid).  Where it originated from ? ... good question  ::)

The first 2 pics are from my 69 bird, original untouched and the last 2 pics from my Camaro, also original.  I absolutely saw no difference in the exterior handles at all.  I put them side-by-side and used calipers to measured every possible point.

I'm not sure what exactly has been written or read in any reports,  but I can say that the exterior handles are spot on identical.
