I think this requires pictures of the car and why so low of miles??

Bill, This car sat in a concrete block garage in the woods of WV for 42 years, needless to say it had a bit of rust issues and had to go through a complete restoration.

Thanks.  Just curious what are the plans for the original one?

It came apart during dis-assembly.

Attached is a photo of the original, the one I had made and the after market one (right)

Tim, I don't know the answer to your question, maybe someone else will pipe in and let us know.

Darrell, this car is a power drum car.

I have had the CG tag made by a print shop. I think it looks pretty good.

To all

I am restoring a 68 L78 (9977 original miles) and the prior owner had replace the shifter with a Hurst Comp set up. I did receive with the car the original shifter and rods but they had welded broken rods together.

I understand big blocks and small blocks used different rods and I am in need af a set of big block rods.

The part #'s for these rods are
1st & 2nd 3930063
3rd & 4th 3930065
Reverse 3930067

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated

This was my first trip to the Nationals and I was very impressed with the work everyone has put in these cars. I am restoring a low mileage 68 L78 and will be back to study over the next few years.

Larry (scoop) brought a car that raised my expectations of where I need to take my restoration. Thanks for the great info everyone.

Can someone tell me if this the norm or could it have been in any configuration.

1968 SS L78 (Original mileage 9977 & original paint)

D90 stripes configured in the following fashion.

Nose and to the front of the wheel wells is painted.

Drivers side, rear of wheel well to door is a decal and door is painted.

Passenger side, rear of wheel well and door are decals.

Passenger side is correct.

Steve

Thanks, where did you get the info to confirm this and should the drivers side be the same? I will look at it again.
