Hopefully you were able to replace your brake lines by this time.  If not, this can be done to a fully assembled vehicle. I just completed this task on my 69 convertible. I did have to remove the clutch z bar for clearance. The only issue I could see is a lack of clearance between the floor pan and the sub frame if you have worn body bushings.

I used the below hose protector for a Boss 429 Mustang, seemed to work just fine:

I would like to see what an original deep grove A/C pulley looks like.

Coupe or convertible?  I currently have a convertible apart that I could measure for you.

General Discussion / Re: "New" '69 Dash Pad from HBC ?

Ground Up Restorations now has "new and improved" dash pad as well.  I am not sure if it the same one as Heartbeat City has.

I purchased one from Rick's.  I wasn't too sure what I was purchasing (no manufactures name was listed) The one that arrived was Quiet Ride Solutions item GMF 6769-HC.  Excellent quality in my opinion.

Over the past few months, I have been collecting the parts to rebuild the front of my 69.  I know that I found a replacement set of the sleeves someplace. (they were repos not NOS GM) If you have not found them, let me know and I will try to figure out where I got mine from.

Restoration / Re: 1969 AIR emission exhaust manifold tubes
« on: May 16, 2011, 05:32:55 PM »
The air tubes will not tighten without the extensions in place.  The easiest fix is to use stainless pan head fastners in place of the extension tubes.  This will block off the exhaust gases from entering the smog tubes as well as make up the extra space needed to tighten them.
