Restoration / Re: Soda or media blast over rust?
« on: April 03, 2010, 11:36:53 AM »
We own a soda blaster made by stripco. it is very effective for the type of surface rust your refering to as long as the water injection nozzle is used. yes it will leave the rust areas "black" once finished. however it will not bleed  or ghost  after you applied a good etching primer. REMEMBER TO CLEAN THE ENTIRE CAR WITH WATER AND A TERRY CLOTH TOWEL FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM AND DRY BEFORE APPLING PRIMER/ SEALERS 1

I just started a full resto on a 1969 numbers matching one owner triple black rs/ss convertable camaro. we were finishing the dismanteling today and found the P B & T stamps behind the ac box and under the r/s light relay and below the trim tag. of all the restorations weve done to date this is first for us. has any one else come acroos this. were shooting for a concorse restoration and would really appreciate any help during the process.

Aaron, I run these same headers on my 69 z. they virtually drop right in, i didnt even have to lift the driver side mount to install them . mine are ceramic coated and have been in for four + years with 0 problems.
